When straight isn't quite the right angle. The Signature Series Angled Hemostats give you the same lightweight, locking performance as the straight version — with a bent tip that makes it easier to reach into corners, under hides, or at awkward angles without repositioning your whole arm. A favorite for keepers who do a lot of enclosure work.

What it is

12-inch angled-tip locking hemostats made from stainless steel with a black heat treatment finish. The angled tip provides better sightlines and reach when working inside enclosures, presenting feeders at a natural downward angle, or accessing tight spots.

What it's used for

  • Presenting feeders at a natural angle to trigger a more instinctive feeding response
  • Reaching into corners, under hides, or behind décor during enclosure maintenance
  • Handling live or frozen-thawed feeders with a secure locking grip
  • Spot-cleaning and debris removal in tight enclosure spaces

May be appropriate for

  • Snake and lizard keepers who feed at an angle or in confined enclosures
  • Keepers with tall or heavily decorated enclosures where reach matters
  • Anyone who finds straight hemostats awkward for their specific setup

Specs

  • Length: 12 inches
  • Tip: Angled, locking ratchet mechanism
  • Material: Stainless steel with black heat treatment
  • Weight: 20% lighter than industry standard hemostats
  • Ring spacing: 19mm vs standard 35mm — less fatiguing, better for smaller hands
  • Corrosion-resistant finish

Husbandry notes

The angled tip is especially useful for presenting prey head-first at a downward angle, which mimics how prey moves naturally and can encourage more confident strikes in hesitant feeders. Rinse and dry after use to maintain the finish.

Many keepers keep both straight and angled hemostats on hand — they complement each other well depending on the task and enclosure layout.
