Husbandry notes

Always use a thermostat or dimmer to regulate output and prevent overheating. Measure basking surface temperature with a temperature gun — not an ambient thermometer — to confirm your animal is getting the correct basking temp for their species. Position the lamp at the appropriate distance to hit your target temperature; closer means hotter, further means cooler. Never allow direct animal contact with the bulb.
