This isn't just a heat source — it's a fundamentally better way to heat a reptile enclosure. The Arcadia Deep Heat Projector produces Infrared-A and Infrared-B wavelengths, the same deep-penetrating heat that reptiles absorb from the sun in the wild. Unlike surface-level heat from basking bulbs or ceramic emitters, DHP heat penetrates tissue, warms muscles, and supports genuine physiological thermoregulation.

What it is

A revolutionary infrared heat projector that emits Infrared-A and Infrared-B radiation — the wavelengths responsible for deep tissue warming in reptiles. It produces no visible light, making it suitable for use during both day and night cycles without disrupting photoperiods.

What it's used for

  • Providing deep tissue heating that supports genuine thermoregulation
  • Replacing or supplementing ceramic heat emitters with a more biologically appropriate heat source
  • 24/7 heat provision without light emission — safe for nighttime use
  • Supporting digestion, immune function, and muscle activity through deep infrared warming

May be appropriate for

  • Bearded dragons, monitors, and other heliothermic species that benefit from deep basking heat
  • Ball pythons and other snakes that require consistent ambient warmth
  • Any reptile where deep tissue heating is a priority over surface-level warmth
  • Nocturnal species that need heat without light disruption

Specs

  • Emits Infrared-A and Infrared-B wavelengths for deep tissue heating
  • No visible light output — safe for 24/7 use including nighttime
  • Designed for use with a ceramic or reflector clamp lamp fixture
  • Available in multiple wattages to suit different enclosure sizes

Husbandry notes

Always pair with a quality thermostat — the DHP runs hot and must be regulated to prevent overheating. Measure basking surface temperature with a temperature gun to confirm correct output. The DHP is not a replacement for UVB lighting — it provides heat only. For species that require UVB, pair with an appropriate T5 UVB fixture.

The Deep Heat Projector represents a genuine advancement in reptile heating technology. If you're still running ceramic heat emitters as your primary heat source, this is worth the upgrade.
